The Helpline is open from 6th March 2017. It is a free telephone helpline service provided by the Association of Charitable Organisations and its partner for the Helpline, Newable Consulting. It is available to ACO members for general queries concerning Data Protection in the UK.
The Helpline is open on weekdays between 9.30am and 4pm, excluding bank holidays. Initial consultation via the Helpline is limited to 15 minutes.
The purpose of the Helpline is to give general assistance based only on the background information that you provide during a call, to help you to deal with general queries or identify areas where further work or professional advice may be required.
Information is given by telephone only and not in writing. Documents (including letters and other written communications) cannot be considered, drafted or amended.
Legal advice will not be provided via the helpline. However, access to Newable’s specialist legal professionals can be arranged if required.
