ACO appoints chief executive

The Association of Charity Officers (ACO) has appointed Dominic Fox as its chief executive.

Dominic has had a long career in the voluntary and community sector as a volunteer, practitioner and senior manager, and has previously been chief executive at the Hoffmann Foundation for Autism, the Stone Ashdown Trust, and director of the Children’s Centre Project, a collaboration of seven national charities based at the National Children’s Bureau. He has been a trustee of NCVO since 2002 and is a member of the Poverty Strategy Group at Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

ACO trustee Adrian Rees welcomed the appointment: 'This is a major step forward in our plans for the Association and signals our firm intent to improve support to our members and raise the profile of benevolence in the world of philanthropy'

Dominic Fox said: 'This is an exciting time to start work at ACO, when the work of our members is needed more than ever. It is a great opportunity to raise the profile and give ACO members a strong voice.'
