ACO's New Database

Cheques reprieved

Following representations by ACO and ACO member Malcolm Williams of the Shipwrecked Fishermen and Mariners’ Royal Benevolent Society, it has been announced that cheques will continue for as long as customers need them and the target for possible closure of the cheque clearing in 2018 has been cancelled.

ACO changes name

The ACO is celebrating 65 years of supporting grant making Trusts and Foundations which give grants and welfare support to people in need. Founded in 1946 as the Association of Charity Officers, the ACO has changed its name to reflect changing times. It will now be known as the Association of Charitable Organisations.

New chief executive

The Association of Charity Officers (ACO) has appointed Dominic Fox as its chief executive.
