The third module in the ACO Frontline Worker Training Programme, provided by Shelter.
This 3 hour webinar explains the different definitions, myths, stereotypes and forms of domestic abuse. Delegates learn how to spot the signs and indicators of domestic abuse and the reasons behind why clients may remain in, or return to, abusive relationships.
It covers the Care Act 2015 guidance; how to identify domestic abuse over the phone; supporting customers to identify an abusive relationship; responding to disclosures and requests for help; signposting to specialist services.
