Charity News Review: April Edition

Catch up on this month’s edition of the Charity News Review to hear updates from within the ACO network and wider charity sector.

Welcome to the April Charity News Review

Introduction from our Chief Executive

Thanks to all our colleagues who attended last month’s Case Worker conference. The success of this event demonstrated the significant demand for sharing approaches and experiences between colleagues not just in terms of how they support the increasingly diverse range of needs of their beneficiaries/clients but just as importantly in terms of maintaining their own mental health in a very challenging environment. We will be setting up a Case Worker group shortly to continue this conversation and will circulate further details once available.

A quick plug for our current EDI survey at  https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ACO-EDI which will help our EDI group better understand how we can effectively support ACO members through their EDI journey. The survey closes Thursday and will be assessed at the next meeting on Tuesday 25th April (all members welcome, register here).

Finally – amongst our forthcoming spring/summer programme I’d particularly like to flag our Property event on Thursday 1st June (London) – our group of experts will discuss how charities can face the big property challenges impacting charities as a result of factors such as hybrid working, increasing inflation and soaring energy prices. More information here.
