Our Team

The ACO organises many networking events throughout the year, featuring fantastic speakers from across the sector. This includes our Annual Conference, bespoke webinars and quarterly grant-making forums. PLEASE NOTE: All our events are taking place virtually for the time being due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Beth Smith – Communications and Engagement Lead

Beth is our Communications and Engagement lead, responsible for communications, PR, and content for ACO. She is also responsible for supporting ACO members. Beth joins ACO from an acute NHS Trust where she was a member of the busy communications team, working closely with the hospital charity.

Rosie Trickett- Communications and Engagement Officer

Rosie is our Communications and Engagement Officer responsible for managing content and supporting ACO members. Rosie joins ACO from a heath and social care charity in an engagement role. Rosie is a graduate in Psychology and French from the University of Sussex. Having worked in both Switzerland and U.K Rosie has developed a passion for communications and working in the charity sector.

Hannah Canner – Marketing & Communications Manager

Hannah manages communications, marketing, PR and content for ACO. This includes communications sent to members, ACO's website content, social media, ACO's PR and MarComms strategy, helping organise events and writing/editing editions of ACO's newsletter Charity News Review. 

Jenni Hancock – Bookkeeper

Our Bookkeeper Jenni is responsible for ACO's finance. Jenni joins ACO with more than 20 years’ experience in finance and treasury. She currently provides freelance support to a local charity and a small business in addition to her part-time role with ACO.

Donal Watkin – Chief Executive

Donal is Chief Executive of ACO and responsible for all strategic, governance and operational aspects of ACO, as well as managing relationships between our members and corporate partners. Donal began his career with not for profit organisations in Northern Ireland and the U.S. before moving to the U.K. membership sector.
