Beth Smith – Communications and Engagement Lead

With a flair for both digital and traditional communications, Beth leads on ACO’s strategic engagement – managing vibrant member communications, steering content creation across platforms, and overseeing the organisation’s online member community.

Her role brings together storytelling, strategy, and sector insight – from producing ACO’s flagship monthly newsletter Charity News Review, to amplifying member voices, managing PR and media opportunities, and delivering campaigns that connect, inform, and inspire. She also plays a key part in shaping ACO’s events and thought leadership presence.

Beth’s background in NHS communications gave her a strong foundation in public sector messaging, media relations, and digital transformation. She brings this experience into her creative and practical approach to charity communications. She is especially passionate about building meaningful networks and making sector knowledge more accessible.
