ABS launch wellbeing toolkit

The Architects Benevolent Society has funded the work of the Architects’ Mental Wellbeing Forum in creating a mental wellbeing toolkit.

In an attempt to address mental wellbeing amongst architects, the Forum produced the Toolkit for Practices. This provides guidance for architects and employers on how to promote healthy mental wellbeing within the workplace, as well as being a catalyst for conversations about mental wellbeing in the built environment.

The Toolkit was officially launched at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios. Alongside providing the opportunity to bring people together to champion mental health, those who attended heard from award winning poet LionHeart and speakers who talked openly and honestly about mental health.

The event raised awareness, provided advice and continued a dialogue about mental health within the profession. It discussed how architecture practices are addressing mental health issues and asked what is next, and what practices and organisations can do for their staff in the workplace to provide support.
