ABTA Lifeline’s travel crusade

ABTA Lifeline joined a crusade by rallying around Europe by car for three days, taking part in challenges whilst promoting and raising money for their charity along the way.

ABTA Lifeline took part in the crusade against 19 other teams, all dressed in costume as celebrities (in ABTA Lifeline’s case the Spice Girls) and rode in uniquely themed transformed vehicles. Each day they would have to compete against each other to win more money for their charity.

Starting in the Versailles of Lorraine, challenges included trying to recreate famous landmarks such as the statue of Lasalle, creating videos such as “Carry On Crusading”, judged on how funny they were, driving the legendary Hockenheim race track in Germany, and finishing in Rotterdam.

Collectively £47,000 was raised for a variety of charities, with £8000 raised for ABTA Lifeline to help support travel industry workers in need.
