ACO Annual Conference 2019 - ACO is grateful to EdenTree Investment Management for supporting this event

Annual Conference 2019 Review

Thank you to all those that attended our Annual Conference on Friday 10th May, and to all those that helped make the day a success.

Set within the grand halls of One Great George Street, Chris Hiorns from EdenTree Investment Management started the day with an interesting insight into the current state of the world of investment with his market report. Lindsay Judge at Resolution Foundation followed with some surprising facts and figures about poverty and living standards in the UK looking into the future.

Liz Emerson from Intergenerational Foundation presented their findings on Intergenerational Fairness, a topical issue at the moment. And before lunch, ACO had some exciting news as it launched its “One Day Changes Lives” PR project and called out to members to sign up.

After lunch and lots of networking, Srabani Sen from Full Colour led an enthusiastic interactive session on inclusion and diversity in the workplace, and challenged our preconceptions. Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week, Kirsty Lilley from CABA led a call to action for better mental health support at work.

Our final talks of the day began with Zoe Amar from The Charity Digital Code of Practice giving her top tips for charities using digital. And Happy Henry Stewart at Happy Ltd created a positive end to the day with his excitable talk on how we can create happier workplaces and charities.

All presentations are now available to download from our website.

We thank all our speakers for an interesting and informative day, our sponsors EdenTree Investment Management and Wilsons Solicitors, and our exhibitors Griffiths&Armour, The OT Practice and Connect Assist.

Look forward to seeing you at the next event!
