Big Shots raise £24,000 for industry charity

Industry representatives from as far away as Italy turned out to support a clay pigeon shoot fundraiser, Big Shots, in June, which raised £24,000 for the Furniture Makers' Company charity.

Around 140 people, making up 35 teams, took part in the 24th annual fundraiser, which was held at the E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The sun shone as guests delighted in a day of traditional clay pigeon shooting as well as some novelty stands, including axe throwing, paintballing marksmanship and the classic blunderbuss.

Hayden Davies, Master of The Furniture Makers' Company, said: "Yet again Big Shots delighted everyone who attended. It is one of our longest running fundraisers and always raises a significant amount of money for the charity as well as offering a great informal networking opportunity for industry colleagues. As always, we'd like to thank Furniture Village for their continued support in sponsoring and helping organise the day. We look forward to celebrating 25 years of Big Shots in 2019."
