MND Association host virtual parliamentary event

On Friday 18 June MND Association will host a virtual parliamentary event to raise awareness of their United to End MND campaign.

See below from MND Association’s website:

1 in 300 people will be diagnosed with MND, a devastating terminal disease. This means that over 200,000 of the current UK population will die from the condition unless effective treatments are found. Research into the causes and potential treatments for MND has progressed, with current trials offering real promise. But this progress is largely dependent on sufficient levels of funding.

Our United to End MND campaign with MND Scotland and the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, which aims to increase Government investment into MND research is making good progress and has significant public support, including over 100,000 petition signatures. On 29 April, we met with Government officials to discuss our proposals and they committed to continue these discussions.

We now need to get more MPs to support our campaign. On Friday 18 June, we're hosting a virtual Parliamentary event to raise awareness of our campaign and to ask MPs to support it.
