Mental health spotlight on #TimetoTalk day

GroceryAid joined Time to Change to encourage those affected to seek support and speak about their mental health.

February 7th was #TimetoTalk, a day dedicated to getting as many people across the country talking about mental health as possible. It is part of the Time to Change campaign which aims to break the silence surrounding mental health, increase awareness and shine a light on what many still see as a taboo subject.

Mental health problems are increasingly common, with one in four of us affected each year. Nearly nine out of ten people who experience them say they face stigma and discrimination as a result. This can be even worse than the symptoms themselves for someone affected by mental health challenges.
