New CEO at the Care Workers Charity

Richard Muncaster will succeed Alex Ramamurthy (pictured) as Chief Executive Officer of the Care Workers Charity with effect from 30th November 2018. Richard brings over 20 years’ experience in the voluntary sector, leading teams in a variety of income generation, marketing, programme delivery, volunteering, communications, policy and campaigning roles.

Alex has led the Charity through a two-year transformation period which resulted in CWC winning Change Project of the Year and being shortlisted for Charity of the Year at the 2018 Charity Times Awards. Alex will join the Board as a Trustee and will support CWC through a six-month transition period in a part-time consultancy role, continuing to provide the benefit of his network and experience across the sector with a focus on nurturing entrepreneurial activity and partnerships.

Richard Muncaster expressed his excitement of the new role, “It is a fantastic honour to be appointed CEO of The Care Workers Charity. I’m joining an organisation in a strong financial position with a growing reputation across the sector. But more importantly, it’s a charity with a real sense of purpose. We believe that care workers have a right to lead rewarding personal and professional lives, and we are a charity on a mission to build a society that values and supports them to do so.”
