The Solicitors' Charity appoint new CEO

SBA The Solicitors’ Charity, an independent charity that works to provide support to solicitors in financial need, has appointed Nick Gallagher as new CEO to take the charity forward.

Nick takes up the post with immediate effect and replaces Andrew Jameson who completes his tenure as Interim CEO. Nick comes to the charity with extensive and varied experience in the not-for-profit sector, offering considerable experience of leading charities at either Director or CEO level and vital experience in leading three legal charities, including LawWorks.

Nick said of his new role: “I’m thrilled to join the SBA team and bring together my skills and experience with knowledge of the challenging context in which solicitors now operate. Following many Interim CEO assignments where I have completed both shorter ‘turnaround’ roles and driven organisational growth and improvement over a longer period, I’m excited to take on this permanent role and instil a sustained positive change to benefit those in need of support.

“The SBA provides vital assistance which so many solicitors and their families rely on and I look forward to developing the charity and making more organisations and individuals aware of what the SBA does and how they can help.”
