Welcome new ACO members

A very warm welcome to four new ACO member charities to join us in the past month. You can find out more about the latest members of the ACO network below.

The Printing Charity

The Printing Charity offers a range of support to people who work, or have previously worked for 3 years or more, in the print and allied trades or who are dependants of someone who has. Financial support includes mobility support, wellbeing, household and white goods, bereavement support and home repairs.

Practical and emotional support is available from day one in the industry via the charity's free, confidential helpline and access to this is through employers or by contacting our team at head office.  They also have two sheltered homes in Basildon and Bletchley for those who are retired from the industry or have a close family connection and able to live independently.  The charity also invests in the best young talent in our industry through our Rising Star awards to help them reach their career goals.

The League of the Helping Hand

The League of the Helping Hand provide financial assistance to those who are in hardship due to illness or disability. This includes physical and diagnosed mental health conditions, learning disabilities and people caring for an adult or child with a disability.

Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust

Pulmonary fibrosis is a progressive lung disease that has no cure. Statistically, the average life expectancy is just 3 years. Each year over 8000 die from PF in the UK. Despite this, little is known about it and little is done to help those affected by it.

The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust is a patient-focused UK charity providing practical support to enhance the quality of life and well being of people living with PF.  They are entirely volunteer led and 100% funded through donations.  The charity's Trustees and Ambassadors have experience of living with PF meaning that they have a personal connection with this illness.

The charity exist to support PF patients, their carers and families from diagnosis.  They are motivated to improve the quality of life of all patients by providing emotional and practical support that makes a difference to patient lives and at a time when they need it most. They are here for all patients as they navigate their journey with PF.

Their website is where further details will be found. Please contact us if there is any support you would like us to provide.

Education Support

Education Support is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of education staff, believing that better mental health leads to better education.

They support individuals and help schools, colleges and universities to improve the mental health and wellbeing of their staff. The charity also carries out research and advocate for changes in Government policy for the benefit of the education workforce.
